Botany and evolutionary biology

I study patterns in trait variation, and how they relate to ecological and evolutionary success in flowering plants.

Biography
I am a postdoc in the Dlugosch lab at the University of Arizona, using invasive plants to study evolution on ecological timescales; I am currently based with the Evolutionary Ecology group at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Sydney. Broad interests in plant diversity have led me around the world: from working with Australian native parsnips, to neotropical Lantana, to yellow starthistle invasions in the USA. My current and future goals are to leverage technical and conceptual advances in biology to explore plant trait evolution in new ways.
